Where we serve in Anderson County

We work with families in Anderson, Belton, Williamston, Pendleton and Clemson. We can meet you at the local library, a local park or in your home.

What is BabyNet?

BabyNet is South Carolina’s early intervention program for infants and toddlers who have, or may be at risk of, a developmental delay or a diagnosed condition. It is federally funded, and services are at no cost to families.

Your child may qualify if they:

  • Have delays in speech or physical development

  • Were born premature or with a low birth weight

  • Have an illness or genetic condition

  • Have difficulty with vision or hearing

  • Show challenging behaviors or have trouble getting along with others

How we help

Special Instruction

We listen to your goals for your child and coach you on evidence-based strategies to use throughout your day.

Service Coordination

We help you find resources such as childcare, insurance, diapers and community services, including speech, physical and occupational therapy.

Transition Support

Around 27 months, we make a plan for what comes next, such as developmental preschool, day care or Head Start.

Support in your own routines

Services happen where your child already spends time: at home, in childcare, at a park or at a library. We provide interpretation for families who need it.

How to get started

  1. Anyone can refer a child, including parents, doctors and childcare providers.

  2. Refer online at babynet.scdhhs.gov/prebabynet or call the BabyNet Central Referral Team at (866) 512-8881.

  3. Say: “I would like services with ABC Early Intervention.”
